Where to Grab a Bite to Eat in Verona

Frank Anthony’s

Everyone who’s anyone in Verona has been to Frank Anthony’s, more commonly called Frank Ant’s. People flock to Frank Ant’s for their iconic Fortunato sandwich which is comprised of a chicken cutlet, arugula, tomato, mozzarella, and balsamic. Frank Ant’s is the perfect place to just grab lunch with friends or you can go for a nice dinner. Parking is rough, but you can definitely walk on a nice day.

Lakeside

Lakeside Deli is an institution in Verona. Its most famous dish is likely a mudslide, which is french fries smothered in gravy and cheese. Veronians also love Lakeside’s Italian sub, which is listed as a number seven, as opposed to a number 1 at most other sub shops.

Bagelwich

On Sunday mornings, the line in front of Bagelwich wraps around the store down Bloomfield Avenue, everyone ready for their hot bagels. Many VHS students love Bagelwich’s iconic Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel accompanied with an iced coffee.

Verona Diner has anything and everything you could ever want on its menu. From breakfast to dessert to lunch specials, it is definitely a hotspot for Veronians.

Although there are about a million pizza places in Verona, Anthony Franco’s is definitely a favorite. A favorite on the menu is definitely the chicken Caesar salad pizza.

The Thai Elephant of course has delicious food and a great food truck, but its hidden gem is definitely the ice cream. The Thai ice cream is a  ice sweet treat, and its aesthetic is definitely Insta-worthy.

Jack’s Cafe is the perfect place to stop and grab lunch, especially on a nice summer day where you can sit outside. Some favorites of Veronians are its soups, sandwiches, and french fries.

Verona Inn

The Verona Inn, or the VI as it is known to most people is definitely a hot spot in Verona. If you go there, you will most certainly see someone you know, whether it is your neighbor, your second grade teacher, or your old soccer coach. A favorite on the menu is definitely the hot pretzels that you can order as an appetizer.

Avenue Bistro

The Avenue Bistro is a great place to go if you are looking for a more upscale restaurant in Verona that still has great food. A great thing to order on the menu is definitely the fish tacos!
