Performances from the Berwin Art Education Center included the “Ode to Lotus Dance,” “The Rhythm of Dai,” and the “Rainy Town Dance.”

The Wushu-Kungfu Fitness Center did a great job of demonstrating their Kungfu skills and lion dance.

Stephen Fu, and Alan Hsu from the Chinese Yoyo Association presented an outstanding mastered duet performance.

Laning and Forest elementary school, and HBW middle school students and teachers worked really hard on the preparation to to perform their Chinese New Year songs, skits, and dances.

At the conclusion, students and teachers from the entire community participated in a fashion show, representing traditional and cultural costumes and outfits worn for the New Year.

“Considering we’ve never had something like this before, I think it went really well and was fun to participate in. I also think it was cool to see all the different schools coming together to perform and show people about the culture,” said VHS Junior Lauren Weiner.

With the help of the ushers, stage crew, stage set up, program flyer and booklet makers, video recording and support, media contact, food sale workers, and event planners, the night was one to remember.

“It was great. The night was very eventful and everyone looked like they had a great time,” said junior Molly Nochimson.
