According to new math teacher Mr. Jonathon Thai, “students at VHS are great and the staff is very supportive.”
Mr. Thai, who is in his first teaching job, loves working at VHS but the “work is more than he ever imagined.” He teaches Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, and Geometry. Mr. Thai chose to teach math because it is his favorite subject and he is very good at it.
Besides teaching, Mr. Thai enjoys watching and playing sports. He plays tennis and is the volunteer tennis coach here at VHS.
“I am also a basketball and football fan,” says Mr. Thai. His favorite teams are the Phoenix Suns and the Detroit Lions.
Other than watching sports on television, Mr. Thai enjoys watching the Travel Channel and Food Network. He also likes to travel around and eat at different restaurants.
Mr. Thai grew up in Belleville, New Jersey and graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. He also has one twin sister named Jen.
Mr. Thai is happy with his experience and VHS so far, and hopes to get more involved and eventually advise an extracurricular activity.
