For the fifth consecutive year, the VHS cheerleaders on October 25 hosted a Breast Cancer Showcase at the high school. The cheerleaders invited the Verona Eagles teams, the Farleigh Dickinson University College cheerleaders and the Just Cheer All Stars to help raise money for the cause.

The event was a success, raising $1370.

In the event, each team takes to the mat showing off their skills. They do different stunts, tumbling routines and jumps to entertain the crowd. There are different breast cancer themed t-shirts, bracelets, and bows being sold to also help make money for the cause.

The event filled the gym bleacher with a good-sized crowd that included the VHS football team, there to support the efforts of their cheerleaders.

“I really enjoy doing this fundraiser every year,” Varsity coach Jamie Wronski says.  “It is a really good way for us to raise money for a good cause and be able to do the thing we love at the same time.”
